Community Council Decision
The Toronto and East York Community Council:
1. Rescinded the existing parking prohibition in effect at all times on the west and north side of Queens Wharf Road, between Housey Street and Dan Leckie Way.
2. Prohibited standing at all times on the west and north side of Queens Wharf Road, between Housey Street and Dan Leckie Way.

Summary
Traffic Operations recently received a request from an inquirer regarding the existing parking conditions on the north/west side of Queens Wharf Road, between Fort York Blvd. and Dan Leckie Way. Residents have reported illegal parking activity within the existing No Parking Anytime area along this roadway.
A field investigation undertaken by Transportation Services staff confirmed that there are various vehicles parked illegally for long periods of time within this No Parking Anytime area. As Queens Wharf Road carries a road width of only approx. 8.5m having vehicles parked on the north/west side reduces the road width and impacts safe two-way traffic.
In order to improve/create safe and efficient two-way traffic on this roadway, City staff recommend that a No Standing Anytime regulation replace the existing No Parking Anytime on the north/west side of Queens Wharf Road, between Fort York Blvd. and Dan Leckie Way. The No Standing Anytime regulation will still allow for the safe pick-up/drop-off of passengers.
