Community Council Decision
The Toronto and East York Community Council:
1. Waived the polling requirement under the City's Traffic Calming Policy and authorized the installation of traffic calming (speed humps) on Brandon Avenue from Lansdowne Avenue to Lightbourn Avenue.
2. Directed the City Solicitor to prepare a by-law to alter sections of the roadway on Brandon Avenue, for traffic calming purposes, generally as shown on the copy of Drawing No. 421G-3948, dated September 2021, from the Acting Director, Traffic Management, Transportation Services, Toronto and East York District.

Summary
In February 2020, my office hosted a public meeting with residents of Davenport Village to discuss traffic issues in the neighbourhood. After hearing all the concerns from residents along with input from Traffic Operations it was proposed that traffic calming measures (speed humps) be installed as a method of addressing some of these concerns. The majority of the residents were in support of these changes
I am requesting that speed humps be installed on Brandon Avenue from Lansdowne Avenue to Lightbourn Avenue.
