The Toronto and East York Community Council:

 

1. Appointed, at pleasure of Council, the following candidates, for the term of eight (8) months ending on May 31, 2022:

 

         Glen Dunphy

         Ayan Kailie

         Justine Montgomery

         Phil Vlach

         Brian O’Rourke

Summary

At the Swansea Town Hall Board Meeting on May 27, 2021, the Board nominated the individuals listed above for appointment by Toronto and East York Community Council to the Board of Management of the Swansea Town Hall Community Centre.

 

Appointments to the Swansea Town Hall Community Centre Board of Management is a matter for which the Community Council has been delegated authority from City Council to make a final decision, provided that the recommendations do not vary from the Public Appointments Policy.

 

The date of original appointment and years of service that the Board Members who are recommended for reappointment, are as follows:

                              

·         Glen Dunphy (May 22, 2019, 2.5 years of service as of October 2021)

 

·         Ayan Kailie (May 22, 2019, 2.5 years of service as of October 2021)

 

·         Justine Montgomery (May 22, 2019, 2.5 years of service as of October 2021)

 

·         Phil Vlach (May 22, 2019, 2.5 years of service as of October 2021)

 

 

All the nominees are eligible and qualified to serve on the Board of Management pursuant to the relevant provisions of the City of Toronto By-law (Chapter 25 of the former City of Toronto Municipal Code), the Relationship Framework for Board run Community Centers and the Public Appointments Policy.

 

By this letter, the Board of Management requests that all individuals named be appointed as Directors on the Board of Management of Swansea Town Hall Community Centre.

 

On behalf of the Board of Management, I respectfully request the City take the necessary steps to implement the above requested appointments.
