Community Council Decision
The Toronto and East York Community Council directed:
1. City Planning report to the June 24, 2021 meeting of the Toronto and East York Community Council on the design selected, the steps that will be taken and the timeline to mitigate the current unsafe sidewalk condition.
2. Transportation Services return this stretch of Queen between Laing and Knox to pre-construction traffic regulations.
3. Transportation Services Staff report to the June 24, 2021 meeting of the Toronto and East York Community Council on the number of parking tickets that have been issued between Knox and Laing since the opening of The George, whether they were given erroneously, and if so how those residents will be remunerated.
4. City Planning consider as part of the revised design an improved planting plan that includes trees to support the urban tree canopy.

Summary
Dear Chair and Members of Toronto and East York Community Council,
A few weeks ago residents in Leslieville brought an issue to my attention regarding an unsafe condition of the sidewalk in front of the above address which is a recently built condo on Queen East where the building was erected higher than the existing sidewalk.
Since that time, City staff and the developer have been working to find a way to modify the design to make it as safe as possible.
As well, some residents of The George have informed me that they have received tickets as it seems that the pre-construction parking regulations have not yet been reinstated
