Origin

(April 21, 2021) Letter from Councillor Josh Matlow, Ward 12, Toronto - St. Paul's

Summary

Last month, Council supported my motion to establish a Community Working Group to inform a Canada Square Special Study Area report. Planning Staff are concurrently evaluating Oxford Development's rezoning application for the Canada Square site at the south west corner of Yonge and Eglinton.

The Working Group will be composed of local School Trustees, Residents’ Associations, Tenants’ Associations, Business Improvement Areas, neighbouring Councillors, community organizations, and other stakeholders.

Some of the stakeholders participating in the Working Group have requested information regarding the subject site be made available to them prior to the commencement of the process to inform their participation. This motion requests City Staff provide a report with the requested information at the next meeting of Council.
