March 10, 2021 at 10:12 a.m. - Speaker Nunziata advised Council of the following:
We will now review and confirm the Order Paper. Once the Order Paper has been approved by Council, any change will need a two‑thirds vote.
We have a number of deferred matters before us today: Item TE21.9 and Items DM30.1 through DM30.8.
The Mayor has designated Item PH21.1 on Modular Housing Initiative: Phase Two Sites - 175 Cummer Avenue and Trenton/Cedarvale Avenue and Item PH21.5 on Partnership with United Property Resource Corporation to Create 500 New Affordable Rental Homes as his Key Matters for this meeting. These will be our first items of business today.
We are scheduled to meet until 6 p.m. tonight. We will take a scheduled recess between 12:30 and 2:00 p.m. Council will reconvene tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. if necessary.
I propose that City Council set a time for a closed session, if required, later in the meeting.
I will now go through the items to take additional Member holds. I will review the Order Paper one section at a time, starting with the Deferred Items.
