City Council Decision
City Council on June 8 and 9, 2021, adopted the following:
1. City Council approve the temporary closure of each of the Don Valley Parkway southbound off-ramp to Eglinton Avenue East, the Eglinton Avenue East westbound on-ramp to the Don Valley Parkway northbound, the Eglinton Avenue East eastbound on-ramp to the Don Valley Parkway southbound, the Eglinton Avenue East eastbound on-ramp to the Don Valley Parkway northbound and the Don Valley Parkway northbound off-ramp to Eglinton Avenue East to vehicular traffic, from 11:00 p.m. on Friday, August 6, 2021 to 5:00 a.m. on Monday, August 9, 2021 to facilitate the road paving work for the Eglinton Crosstown Light Rail Transit project.
2. In the event that the road paving work cannot occur on the dates and times referenced in Part 1 above because of poor weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances, City Council approve the temporary closure of each of the Don Valley Parkway southbound off-ramp to Eglinton Avenue East, the Eglinton Avenue East westbound on-ramp to the Don Valley Parkway northbound, the Eglinton Avenue East eastbound on-ramp to the Don Valley Parkway southbound, the Eglinton Avenue East eastbound on-ramp to the Don Valley Parkway northbound and the Don Valley Parkway northbound off-ramp to Eglinton Avenue East to vehicular traffic, from 11:00 p.m. on Friday, August 13, 2021 to 5:00 a.m. on Monday, August 16, 2021 to facilitate the road paving work for the Eglinton Crosstown Light Rail Transit project.

Community Council Recommendations
North York Community Council recommends that:

Summary
The purpose of this report is to seek Council authority to temporarily close the Don Valley Parkway (DVP) ramps at Eglington Avenue East for a period of up to two weekends in August 2021 to facilitate road paving work on Eglinton Avenue East as part of the Eglinton Crosstown LRT project.
The annual DVP Fall maintenance closure is planned on the weekend of August 6 to 9, 2021 with the alternative scheduled weekend of August 13 to 16, 2021. Crosslinx Transit Solutions (CTS) is planning to utilize the City DVP maintenance closure to perform the road paving work, thus avoiding the need for an additional closure of the DVP ramps. However, in the event of cancellation of the City maintenance closure or inclement weather, additional closure of the ramps will be required to accomplish the work.
