Panel Recommendations
The Corporations Nominating Panel recommends that:
1. City Council appoint Allison Mendes to:
a. the CreateTO Board, at pleasure of Council, for a term of office ending on March 10, 2025, and until a successor is appointed; and
b. the Boards of Directors of Build Toronto and the Toronto Port Lands Company, at pleasure of Council, for a term of office ending on March 10, 2023, and until a successor is appointed.
2. City Council direct that Confidential Attachments 1, 2, 3 and 4 to the report (February 19, 2021) from the Interim City Clerk remain confidential in their entirety as they relate to personal matters about identifiable individuals being considered for appointment to the CreateTO Board.

Candidate's biography:
Allison Mendes
Allison Mendes has over 18 years of Capital Markets experience. Most recently, she was Managing Director, Senior Portfolio Manager at Manulife Asset Management. She has served on multiple boards and has Chaired both the Audit and Governance committee. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst and obtained her MBA from the Schulich School of Business, where she specialized in Finance. She holds the ICD. D. designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors at Rotman.
