City Council Decision
City Council on November 9, 10 and 12, 2021, adopted the following:
1. City Council direct the City Manager and the General Manager, Economic Development and Culture, in conjunction with Heritage Toronto and the North York Historical Society, to work with community groups and other interested stakeholders and report to the February 2 and 3, 2022 City Council meeting with a work plan and budget to recognize and celebrate the 100th anniversary of the incorporation of the Township of North York.
2. City Council direct the City Manager and the General Manager, Economic Development and Culture to seek the support of the Federal and Provincial Governments in supporting community celebrations of the 100th anniversary of the incorporation of the Township of North York.

Speaker Nunziata advised Council that the provisions of Chapter 27, Council Procedures, require that Motion MM37.10 be referred to the Economic and Community Development Committee. A two-thirds vote of the Council Members present is required to waive referral.
