Item - 2021.MM34.6

City Council on June 8 and 9, 2021, adopted the following:

1.  City Council request the Board of Directors of CreateTO to direct the Interim Chief Executive Officer, CreateTO, in consultation with the Chief Planner and Executive Director, City Planning, the General Manager, Parks, Forestry and Recreation, the Executive Director, Corporate Real Estate Management, and the President, Toronto Parking Authority to explore the development opportunities of the City-owned site(s) municipally known as 4 Hollis Street, with an additional convenience address of 1169 Weston Road (also known as Car Park Number 651) including the following:
 

a.  a mixed-use development that provides a variety of community benefits and with the potential inclusion of private land holdings within the immediate vicinity;

b.  working with the Toronto Parking Authority to identify new parking opportunities in both on and off street locations suitable for replacement of parking spaces within the vicinity of the proposed development, should an investment in parking on-site be deemed not feasible; and

c.  working with City Planning and Parks, Forestry, and Recreation, to conduct a Cultural Heritage Evaluation Report on the existing building at 4 Hollis Street.
 

2.  City Council request the Board of Directors of CreateTO to direct the Interim Chief Executive Officer, CreateTO to report back to a future CreateTO Board meeting by the fourth quarter of 2021 on any development opportunity identified.
