City Council Decision
City Council on May 5 and 6, 2021, adopted the following:
1. City Council authorize the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, in consultation with the Chief Building Official and Executive Director, to enter into an agreement in a form satisfactory to the City Solicitor, to defer the payment of development charges for Regent Park Community Health Centre based on the general terms and conditions as outlined in other deferral requests, including any amendments to previously executed agreements, as necessary, relating to the payment of development charges.
2. City Council direct the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer to review this matter as part of the development charges by-law review process currently underway.

Deferral of Development Charges for Regent Park Community Health Centre
Reason for Urgency:
This Motion is urgent, as without this deferral, Regent Park Community Health Centre would not be able to continue to operate this life-saving services while the renovation is in progress, and the development charges are due before the next City Council meeting.
