City Council Decision
City Council on May 5 and 6, 2021, adopted the following:
1. City Council authorize the General Manager, Parks, Forestry and Recreation to negotiate and enter into a User Agreement with Jays Care Foundation for the use of Highview Park to provide adaptive baseball programming for the community for a term not longer than five years, on terms and conditions (including any renewal rights) satisfactory to the General Manager, Parks, Forestry and Recreation, and in a form satisfactory to the City Solicitor.
2. Provided acceptable terms can be agreed upon, City Council authorize the General Manager, Parks, Forestry and Recreation to negotiate and enter into a Naming Rights Agreement in compliance with the City of Toronto Individual and Corporate Naming Rights Policy, for a term not longer than 10 years, on terms and conditions (including renewal rights) satisfactory to the General Manager, Parks, Forestry and Recreation, and in a form satisfactory to the City Solicitor.

Speaker Nunziata advised Council that the provisions of Chapter 27, Council Procedures, require that Motion MM32.32 be referred to the Economic and Community Development Committee. A two-thirds vote of the Council Members present is required to waive referral.
