City Council Decision

City Council on May 5 and 6, 2021, adopted the following:

 

1.  City Council request the Director, Office of Emergency Management to meet with representatives of the Community Awareness and Emergency Response Association, as well as local City Councillors, to establish how the City of Toronto can assist in supporting the success of the Community Awareness and Emergency Response Association.

 

2.  City Council request the Director, Office of Emergency Management to provide an update on these discussions to the Economic and Community Development Committee in the fourth quarter of 2021.

Motion to Waive Referral (Carried)

Speaker Nunziata advised Council that the provisions of Chapter 27, Council Procedures, require that Motion MM32.21 be referred to the Economic and Community Development Committee. A two-thirds vote of the Council Members present is required to waive referral.
