City Council on April 7 and 8, 2021, adopted the following:

1. City Council request the General Manager, Parks, Forestry and Recreation to report back to the next meeting of Infrastructure and Environment Committee on April 28, 2021 with a plan to open all parks washrooms earlier than the Victoria Day long weekend, and as quickly as possible.

That Councillor Mike Layton be permitted to add to the agenda of today's meeting an urgent Motion without Notice concerning:

Request to have Parks Washroom Facilities Open Sooner

Reason for Urgency:

This Motion is urgent as the pressure on outdoor spaces is increasing with the warmer weather and outdoor spaces being some of the only places for people to get exercise. Missing the April Council meeting will mean potentially not give staff a chance at getting washrooms open earlier.
