City Council on April 7 and 8, 2021, adopted the following:
1. City Council request the General Manager, Transportation Services to implement changes to clarify No-Exit signage where pedestrian access is still permitted and to begin installation of the new signs in 2021.

Motions (City Council)
Speaker Nunziata advised Council that the provisions of Chapter 27, Council Procedures, require that Motion MM31.31 be referred to the Infrastructure and Environment Committee. A two-thirds vote of the Council Members present is required to waive referral.
That City Council delete the Recommendation:
Recommendation to be deleted
1. City Council request the General Manager, Transportation Services to report to the July 5, 2021 meeting of the Infrastructure and Environment Committee on implementing changes to clarify No-Exit signage where pedestrian or cyclist access is still permitted and to include as a part of that report at least 10 potential locations for this signage.
and adopt instead the following new recommendation:
1. City Council request the General Manager, Transportation Services to implement changes to clarify No-Exit signage where pedestrian access is still permitted and to begin installation of the new signs in 2021.
