City Council Decision
City Council on March 10, 2021, adopted the following:
1. City Council direct the City Clerk to request the Registrar of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario to refrain from issuing a liquor licence for the 7-Eleven at 1390 Weston Road.
2. City Council request the Licensing Appeal Tribunal to provide the City of Toronto with an opportunity to participate in any proceedings with respect to the Premises.
3. City Council authorize the City Solicitor to attend all proceedings before the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario in this matter and City Council direct the City Solicitor to take all necessary actions so as to give effect to this Motion, including, in the event that the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario issues the requested liquor licence, ensuring that conditions are placed on it.

Speaker Nunziata advised Council that the provisions of Chapter 27, Council Procedures, require that Motion MM30.1 be referred to the Etobicoke York Community Council. A two-thirds vote of the Council Members present is required to waive referral.
