Summary

Seven Oaks is a beautiful community located in Scarborough-Guildwood bounded by Hwy 401, Ellesmere Road, Morningside Avenue to Markham Road.  For several years, the community has experienced an alarming increase of the LDD Moths (European Gypsy Moth) infestation. Negatively impacting the safety hazard of the community and its urban tree canopy.

LDD Moths consume the regeneration tissues of trees causing them to expire, contact with the LDD Moth can also cause skin irritation.   There is an alarming growing number of LDD Moths in the community, it has become necessary for further action from the City to protect individuals in the community as well as the threatened tree canopy.
