Committee Decision
The Board of Health - Budget Committee:
1. Requested the Medical Officer of Health to report to the next meeting of the Board of Health - Budget Committee, to be scheduled prior to the October 25, 2021 meeting of the Board of Health, on the status of the Toronto Academic Health Science Network/Toronto Public Health Opioid Task Force proposal that was submitted to Ontario Health in the fall of 2020 which requested support in several key activity areas to better address the drug poisoning crisis, including:
a. the status of the proposal's elements;
b. funding committed or received from other government partners; and
c. opportunities for the Board of Health to support the proposal through the 2022 Budget process as a "New and Enhanced Commitment".
