Community Council Decision

The Etobicoke York Community Council:  

 

1. Rescinded the existing school bus loading zone in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the north side of Daisy Avenue between a point 63 metres east of Twenty Ninth Street and a point 22 metres further east.

 

2. Authorized parking for a maximum period of 10 minutes from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, on the north side of Daisy Avenue, between a point 63 metres east of Twenty Ninth Street and a point 22 metres further east.

Summary

This staff report is about a matter that Community Council has delegated authority from City Council to make a final decision.

 

Transportation Services is recommending that the existing school bus loading zone on the north side of Daisy Avenue be replaced by extending the existing maximum 10 minutes parking regulation.  The proposed parking amendments will provide additional short-term parking to facilitate pick-up and drop-off of school children at Vincent Massey Day Care and Nursery School, located at 68 Daisy Avenue.
