City Council Decision

City Council on April 7 and 8, 2021, adopted the following:

 

1. City Council amend the Pregnancy and Parental Leave Policy for Members of Council to:

 

a. provide that if a Member does not intend to attend any committee or board meetings during the leave, Council may take steps to fill the Member's vacancies on committees and boards on a temporary basis during the leave, subject to the Member resuming their seat at the end of the leave; and

 

b. authorize the use of the Council staff replacement budget to pay for one additional staff Member for the duration of the leave.

The Executive Committee recommends that:
