The Economic and Community Development Committee:

1.  In accordance with Section 71-11.1C of City of Toronto Municipal Code Chapter 71, Financial Control, authorized an amendment to Purchase Order Number 6050598 with Anacond Contracting Inc. for the provision of all labour, materials, equipment and supervision necessary for emergency power upgrades at Bendale Acres in the amount of $790,000 net of all taxes and charges ($803,904 net of Harmonized Sales Tax recoveries), revising the current purchase order value from $2,690,072 net of all taxes and charges ($2,737,417 net of Harmonized Sales Tax recoveries) to $3,480,072 net of all taxes and charges ($3,541,321 net of Harmonized Sales Tax recoveries) to complete project scope changes required due to unforeseen site conditions.

This report seeks authority to amend Purchase Order Number 6050598 issued to Anacond Contracting Inc. for the provision of all labour, materials, equipment and supervision necessary for Emergency Power Upgrades at Bendale Acres by an additional $790,000 net of all taxes and charges ($803,904 net of HST recoveries), to complete additional work required due to unforeseen site conditions that required redesigning and reinforcing underground structural footings, shoring, and underpinning of the compactor room and existing gas meter reinforcement, resulting in a total revised purchase order value of $3,480,072 net of all taxes and charges ($3,541,321 net of HST recoveries).
