The Economic and Community Development Committee:

1.  In accordance with Section 71-11.1C of City of Toronto Municipal Code Chapter 71, Financial Control, authorized an amendment to Contract Number 47023095, issued to Yummy Catering Services Inc. for the provision of catering services to the Shelter, Support and Housing Administration Division, by an additional amount of $1,500,000 net of all applicable taxes and charges ($1,526,400 net of Harmonized Sales Tax recoveries), increasing the contract value from $499,999 to $1,999,999 net of all applicable taxes and charges.

The purpose of this report is to request authority from the Economic and Community Development Committee to amend Contract Number 47023095 issued to Yummy Catering Services Inc. for the provision of non-exclusive supply and delivery of Catering Services to various Shelter, Support and Housing Administration Division locations. This report requests an amendment to increase the contract value by $1,500,000 net of all applicable taxes and charges ($1,526,400 net of HST recoveries), increasing the contract value from $499,999 to $1,999,999 net of all applicable taxes and charges.

To meet the Medical Officer of Health's order to physically distance and self-isolate if experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, Shelter, Support and Housing Administration (SSHA) was directed to open additional shelter facilities. SSHA continues to meet the nutritional needs of homeless clients and since the beginning of the pandemic, SSHA has opened 40+ additional shelters across the City. The target value for this Blanket Contract established for these services has been exceeded due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Out of the Cold Warming Centres and Winter Respite Bedded Programs.
