City Council Decision

City Council on July 14, 15 and 16, 2021, adopted the following:

 

1. City Council appoint the following candidates to the Toronto Atmospheric Fund Board, at pleasure of Council, for a term of office ending July 15, 2025 and until successors are appointed:

 

Stuart Galloway

Kimberly Marshall

Jean Olemou

 

2. City Council direct that the balance of Confidential Attachment 1 to the report (June 28, 2021) from the City Clerk remain confidential as it relates to personal matters about identifiable individuals being considered for appointment to the Toronto Atmospheric Fund Board.

 

The balance of Confidential Attachment 1 to the report (June 28, 2021) from the City Clerk remains confidential in accordance with the provisions of the City of Toronto Act, 2006, as it relates to personal information about identifiable individuals being considered for appointment to the Toronto Atmospheric Fund Board.

During the review of the Order Paper on July 14, 2021, City Council adopted a procedural motion to remove this Item from the Civic Appointments Committee and bring it forward to City Council for consideration.

 

Appointees' biographies:

 

Stuart Galloway

 

Stuart is currently the Chief Executive Officer Energy Services Association of Canada, with a career of over 25 years in energy and infrastructure development across the UK, European and Canadian markets. This provides him with functional experience across each of the business lines TAF operates. Stuart loves to operate within a creative team, with a drive and code of ethics required for self-motivation and the commitment that will be required to be a successful member of the TAF board.

 

Kimberly Marshall

 

Kimberly Marshall is Vice-President, Corporate Services and Chief Financial Officer at the IESO.  Ms. Marshall is a Chartered Professional Accountant with experience in many industries. These include PricewaterhouseCoopers and 11 years with IBM in a variety of financial and operational roles. Ms. Marshall has an ICD designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors; received her Masters in Business Administration from York University.

 

Jean Olemou

 

Jean is Co-Founder and Principal of GreenDev Inc., an impact investing firm dedicated to advancing the circular economy in the Americas, Africa, and Europe. He has extensive experience working with the private sector, public sector, and civil society stakeholders on investment mandates in the circular economy, renewable energy, and sustainable infrastructure sectors. Jean is a community-minded leader with a track record of serving on boards and advisory committees that contribute to advance the United Nations sustainable development goals in Canada and globally.
