City Council Decision
City Council on July 14, 15 and 16, 2021, adopted the following:
1. City Council appoint the following candidates to the Yonge-Dundas Square Board, at pleasure of Council, for a term of office ending July 16, 2025 and until successors are appointed:
Brandon Arkinson
Mei Burgin
2. City Council direct that the balance of Confidential Attachment 1 to the report (June 8, 2021) from the City Clerk remain confidential as it relates to personal matters about identifiable individuals being considered for appointment to the Yonge-Dundas Square Board.
The balance of Confidential Attachment 1 to the report (June 8, 2021) from the City Clerk remains confidential in accordance with the provisions of the City of Toronto Act, 2006, as it relates to personal matters about identifiable individuals being considered for appointment to the Yonge-Dundas Square Board.

Brandon Arkinson is a dedicated social entrepreneur, city builder and Executive Director, with significant experience in the not-for-profit, housing and fundraising sectors. Mr. Arkinson is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a Certified Psychological Health and Safety Advisor. He has been conferred multiple specializations, designations, degrees and certifications and has studied at UCLA, the London School of Economics and the University of Oxford.
Mei Burgin
Mei was educated as an engineer and has nearly 20 years of leadership experience in the tech sector, specializing in strategic consulting, marketing, and offering management. She has led numerous community groups, including a council chair of the Canadian Marketing Association, board president for a non-profit childcare organization and a blockchain meetup organizer. She loves to ask questions, foster new ideas, and help develop human potential.
