City Council Decision
City Council on April 7 and 8, 2021, adopted the following:
1. City Council appoint Owais Lightwala to the TO Live Board of Directors, at pleasure of Council, for a term of office ending December 19, 2024, and until a successor is appointed.
2. City Council direct that the balance of Confidential Attachment 1 to the report (March 18, 2021) from the Interim City Clerk remain confidential, as it relates to personal matters about identifiable individuals being considered for appointment to the TO Live Board of Directors.
The balance of Confidential Attachment 1 to the report (March 18, 2021) from the Interim City Clerk remains confidential in accordance with the provisions of the City of Toronto Act, 2006, as it relates to personal matters about identifiable individuals being considered for appointment to the TO Live Board of Directors.

Owais Lightwala
Owais Lightwala is an arts leader and creative producer. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the School of Performance at Ryerson University. Prior to that, he helped build and lead Why Not Theatre, a critically acclaimed international theatre company. He is an advisor and strategic consultant to many arts orgs, particularly on finding better ways of doing things, changing who’s on stage and in the audience, and anything to do with technology and design.
