(November 17, 2020) Report from the Director, Wildlife Care and Welfare, Toronto Zoo
Summary
The purpose of this report is to introduce our Animal Lives with Purpose Plan (ALP Plan) for approval. This plan guides our decisions regarding the animals we house and allows us to employ our resources to maximum effect and to the ultimate benefit of the wildlife populations that we work together to preserve. As Canada’s leading accredited zoo, we recognize the urgency of employing our knowledge base and collaborative practices for the preservation of species and the conservation programs they require.
