Community Council Decision
The Toronto and East York Community Council:
1. Rescinded the existing maximum 15-minute parking regulation in effect from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday on the west side of Booth Avenue, between Louis Kesten Lane and a point 22 metres south of Queen Street East.
2. Rescinded the existing parking prohibition in effect from 6:00 p.m. of one day to 7:30 a.m., Monday to Friday and at all times Saturday and Sunday, on the west side of Booth Avenue, between a point 22 metres south of Queen Street East and the first lane south of Queen Street East.
3. Amended the existing maximum one-hour parking regulation in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday, on the west side of Booth Avenue, between Eastern Avenue and Louis Kesten Lane, to be in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday.
4. Prohibited parking at all times on the west side of Booth Avenue, between a point 22 metres south of Queen Street East and Louis Kesten Lane.

This staff report is about a matter that Community Council has delegated authority from City Council to make a final decision.
Transportation Services recommends amending the existing maximum one-hour parking regulation in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday on the west side of Booth Avenue, between Eastern Avenue and Louis Kesten Lane, to be in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday. The proposed change will align the operating times of the maximum one-hour parking regulation with the operating times of the permit parking regulation.
During the course of the investigation, it was noted that a short-term parking area on the west side of Booth Avenue, between Louis Kesten Lane and a point 22 metres south of Queen Street East, originally installed in August 2000 for the Win Harris Child Care Centre, is currently under-utilized as the centre is no longer operational. As such, Transportation Services recommends the short-term parking area be rescinded and in its place, parking be prohibited at all times.
