Summary

In April 2020, City Council adopted the Item IE12.8 and in so doing, authorized the installation of contra-flow bicycle lanes and cycle tracks including the associated traffic and parking amendments at certain locations including Shaw Street, Harbord Street to Dupont Street (http://app.toronto.ca/tmmis/viewAgendaItemHistory.do?item=2020.IE12.8).

Additional technical amendments are required for Essex Street to address an omission to the traffic regulations previously submitted. The changes proposed on Essex Street are a matter that Community Council has delegated authority from City Council to make a final decision.

This matter is urgent on account of work on Shaw being completed shortly.
