Community Council Decision
The Toronto and East York Community Council:
1. Reduced the speed limit on the following road segments from 50 km to 30 km:
- Booth Avenue (Queen Street East to Eastern Avenue)
- Sears Street
- Boulton Avenue (First Avenue to Gerrard Street)
- Eaton Avenue (Selkirk Street to Aldwych Ave)
- Gough Street (Canning Avenue to northern terminus)
- Pape Avenue (Gerrard Street to Rail Corridor)
- Greenwood Avenue (Mortimer Avenue to Milverton Boulevard)
2. Reduced the speed limit on the following road segments from 40 km to 30 km
- Greenwood Avenue (Milverton Boulevard to Danforth Avenue)
- Hiawatha Road (Fairford Avenue to Gerrard Street)
- Dagmar Avenue
- Wolfrey Avenue
- Fairview Boulevard
- Carlaw Avenue (Riverdale Avenue to Danforth Avenue)
- Logan Avenue (Bain Avenue to Danforth Avenue)
- Logan Avenue (Dundas Street East to Eastern Avenue)
- Pretoria Avenue
3. Reduced the speed limit on the following road segments from 50 km to 40 km

4. Requested Staff to review reducing the speed limit on the following streets and report back to Community Council:
- Pape Avenue (Millwood Road to Riverdale Avenue)
- Donlands Avenue (Millwood Road to Danforth Avenue)
- Eastern Avenue (Broadview Avenue to Coxwell Avenue)
- Lower Coxwell Avenue
- Broadview Avenue (Danforth Avenue to O'Connor Drive)
- O'Connor Drive (Broadview Avenue to Coxwell Avenue).

Summary
Dear Chair and Members of the Toronto and East York Community Council,
In February, the Toronto and East York Community Council considered a report from staff lowering speed limits from 50 km to 40 km on a number of streets and Transportation staff recommended Logan Avenue, Cherry Street, Sammon Avenue and Pretoria in Ward 14. These were approved.
I now have the full list of streets in Toronto-Danforth that remain 40 and 50 kilometres per hour.
I am requesting support from TEYCC for the following motion:
