The Toronto and East York Community Council: 

1. Rescinded the existing parking prohibition in effect from the 16th day to the last day of each month from April 1 to November 30, inclusive, on the east side of Caroline Avenue, between Queen Street East and Eastern Avenue.

2. Rescinded the existing parking prohibition in effect from December 1 of one year to March 31 of the next following year and from the first day to the 15th day of each month from April 1 to November 30, inclusive, on the west side of Caroline Avenue, between a point 36.6 metres south of Queen Street East and Eastern Avenue.

3. Rescinded the existing permit parking regulation in effect from 12:01 a.m. to 7:00 a.m., from the 16th day to the last day of each month from April 1 to November 30 inclusive, on the even (west) side of Caroline Avenue, from a point 36.6 metres south of Queen Street East to a point 38.1 metres north of Eastern Avenue.

4. Amended the existing permit parking regulation in effect 12:01 a.m. to 7:00 a.m., regulation from the first day to the last day of each month from April 1 to November 30, inclusive, and from December 1 of one year to March 31 of the next following year, inclusive, on the odd (east) side of Caroline Avenue, from Queen Street East to a point 38.1 metres north of Eastern Avenue, to be in effect from 12:01 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. daily on the east side of Caroline Avenue, from Queen Street East to Eastern Avenue.

5. Prohibited parking at all times on the west side of Caroline Avenue, between a point 36.6 metres south of Queen Street East and Eastern Avenue.

This staff report is about a matter that Community Council has delegated authority to make a final decision, provided that it is not amended so that it varies with City Policy or by-laws.

Transportation Services is recommending affixing parking to the east side of Caroline Avenue, between Queen Street East and Eastern Avenue, in place of the existing alternate side parking condition.  This is in response to a petition submitted by residents requesting the City to discontinue the alternate-side parking arrangement on the subject segment of Caroline Avenue.
