Community Council Decision

Scarborough Community Council:

  

1. Rescinded the maximum 30-minute parking limit in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, on both sides of Antrim Crescent between the north limit of the cul-de-sac and south limit of the cul-de-sac at the west end of Antrim Crescent.

 

2. Amended the maximum 30-minute parking limit in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., daily on the south side of Antrim Crescent, between a point 82 metres northwest of Dundalk Drive and the south limit of the cul-de-sac at the west end of Antrim Crescent, to be in effect for a maximum period of 10 minutes.

 

3. Prohibited parking at all times on of both sides of the cul-de-sac at the west end of Antrim Crescent, between the north limit of the cul-de-sac and south limit of the cul-de-sac.

Summary

This staff report is about a matter for which the Community Council has delegated authority from City Council to make a final decision.

 

In response to a request received from Councillor Thompson and Glamorgan Junior Public School to reduce traffic congestion and provide safe access to school children walking on Antrim Crescent, staff reviewed parking regulations on Antrim Crescent. Staff recommend prohibiting parking at all times on both sides of the cul-de-sac at the west end of the street, and reducing the maximum 30-minute parking limit in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., daily, to a maximum period of 10 minutes on the south side of Antrim Crescent, from a point 82 metres west of Dundalk Drive to the south limit of the cul-de-sac.
