Motions (City Council)
November 25, 2020 at 10:14 a.m. - Speaker Nunziata advised Council of the following:
Members, I will now review the Order Paper.
We have three deferred Committee Items:
EX16.21 on the Ratio of Full-time to Part Time Paramedics
SC12.4 on 1-70 Eglinton Square, 1431 and 1437 Victoria Park Avenue, 14, 18, 19, 22, 23 and 26 Engelhart Crescent and 64 and 68 Harris Park Drive - Official Plan Amendment Application - Request for Direction Report
And
TE19.58 on Ensuring Transparency for Metrolinx Tree Removal Permits, Right of Way and Park Occupation Permits and other Permits in Wards 14 and 19.
The Mayor has designated Item HL23.1 on "Response to COVID-19: Persevering through Resurgence" as his one Key Matter and first item of business today. The Medical Officer of Health will give a presentation on the item.
Members, there are related matters on the agenda that I propose be considered together:
Infrastructure and Environment Committee Item IE17.7 on "Clearing the Path Towards a Safe and Accessible Winter", with New Business Item CC26.9 on "Update on Park Washrooms for Winter 2020/2021";
And
Deferred Item TE19.58 on "Ensuring Transparency for Metrolinx Tree Removal Permits, Right of Way and Park Occupation Permits and other Permits in Wards 14 and 19", with Executive Committee Item EX18.3 on "Update on Metrolinx Transit Expansion Projects - Fourth Quarter 2020".
The Notice of Motion run through is scheduled for 2 p.m. tomorrow only if the Mayor's Key Matter is completed.
I propose that City Council set a time for a closed session, if required, later in the meeting.
I will now go through the items to take additional Member holds. I will review the Order Paper one section at a time, starting with the deferred items.
The Clerk will open the speakers list in CMP and you can place your name on the list. When I recognize you, unmute your mic and state the item or items you wish to hold.
That City Council consider Items TE19.58 headed "Ensuring Transparency for Metrolinx Tree Removal Permits, Right of Way and Park Occupation Permits and other Permits in Wards 14 and 19" and Item EX18.3 headed "Update on Metrolinx Transit Expansion Projects - Fourth Quarter 2020" as the first items on Thursday, November 26, 2020.
