Background Information (City Council)

Motions (City Council)

a - Review Order Paper

June 29, 2020 at 10:07 a.m. - Speaker Nunziata advised Council of the following:

Members, I will now review the Order Paper.

We have two deferred Committee Items:

SC12.4  on 1-70 Eglinton Square, 1431 and 1437 Victoria Park Avenue, 14, 18, 19, 22, 23 and 26 Engelhart Crescent and 64 and 68 Harris Park Drive - Official Plan Amendment Application - Request for Direction Report

and

SC12.6 on 1880-1890 Eglinton Avenue East and 1523-1545 Victoria Park Avenue - Official Plan Amendment Application - Request for Directions Report.

The Mayor has designated Item CC22.2 on "Changes to Policing in Toronto" and Item EX14.1, on "CaféTO - Increasing Outdoor Dining Space for Toronto Restaurants and Bars" as his Key Matters for this meeting. These will be the first items of business today.

Members, there are two related matters on the agenda that I propose be considered together:

Board of Health Item HL17.1 with the City Manager's report CC22.3, both on COVID-19.

The Notice of Motion run through is scheduled for 2 p.m. tomorrow only if the Mayor's Key Matters are completed.

I propose that City Council set a time for a closed session, if required, later in the meeting.

Members, before I review the Items to take additional holds, I wish to rule on two matters - Item EY14.6 regarding temporary road closures for the Canadian Open, and Item TE14.63 on endorsement of events for liquor licence purposes.

The City Clerk has advised me that the events in these two items have been cancelled due to COVID-19. As a result, I am ruling these two items redundant.

I will now go through the items to take additional Member holds.  If you would like to place your name on the Speakers list to hold an item, please text your surname to the Clerk at the number provided.   When I recognize you, unmute your mic and state the item or items you wish to hold.
