Motions (City Council)
January 29, 2020 at 10:17 a.m. - Speaker Nunziata advised Council of the following:
Members, I will now review the Order Paper.
We have two deferred Committee Items:
TE11.9 on Alterations to Heritage Properties, Authority to Enter into a Heritage Easement Agreement and Designation under Part IV, Section 29, of the Ontario Heritage Act - 301 (303), 305 (309, 311), 315 and 319 King Street West,
to be considered with a related New Business Item CC14.2 on 301 to 319 King Street West - Zoning By-law Amendment Application - Request for Directions Regarding a Local Planning Appeal Tribunal Hearing,
and
Item TE11.35 on Residential On-street Permit Parking - Status Update on the Expansion of On-Street Permit Parking in the Toronto and East York Community Council Area.
The Mayor has designated Item EX12.1, on "Ravine Strategy Implementation" and Item EX12.4, on "Acquisitions and Expropriation of Air Space Related to Rail Deck Park" as his Key Matters for this meeting. These will be the first items of business today.
I propose that Council consider related Items IE11.1, IE11.2 and IE11.3 on the 2018 Tree Canopy Study, the Enforcement of Tree Protection, and Federal Funding for Tree Planting in the City of Toronto with the Mayor's first Key Matter, EX12.1 on the Ravine Strategy.
Mayor Tory, do you consent to the joining of the items with your Key Matter?
The Notice of Motion run through is scheduled for 2 p.m. tomorrow only if the Mayor's Key Matters are completed.
I propose that City Council set a time for a closed session, if required, later in the meeting.
The City Clerk has noted the Items that Members wish to hold.
I will now go through the Items listed on the Order Paper to take additional holds. I will recognize requests to make matters urgent and time specific after I go through the Items for additional holds.
Once the Order Paper has been approved by Council, any change will need a two-thirds vote.
That City Council consider Item EX12.3 headed "Toronto-Ontario Transit Partnership - Status Update" as the first Item after Member Motions on Thursday, January 30, 2020.
That City Council consider Item EX12.2 headed "Digital Infrastructure Plan" immediately after the Mayor's Key Matters.
January 29, 2020 at 10:32 a.m. - That City Council adopt the January 29, 2020, Order Paper, as amended, and all other Items not held on consent.
