Community Council Decision

The North York Community Council:

 

1. Requested the General Manager, Parks, Forestry and Recreation to report to the September 15, 2020 meeting of the North York Community Council on the feasibility of installing a memorial plaque at the existing garden located on the York Beltline extension, south of Roselawn from Marlee Avenue to the Allen Expressway, for the purposes of honouring the memory of Jayesh Prajapati.

Summary

Jayesh Prajapati was a newcomer to Canada and a great friend of the community who worked at the Shell station located at Roselawn and Marlee Avenue.

 

Dedicating the Garden on the York Beltline extension, south of Roselawn from Marlee Avenue to the Allen Expressway, would honour his memory and serve as a good reminder to the local residents of the kindness that Jayesh bestowed on everyone who knew him.
