The North York Community Council:

1.  Rescinded the existing parking prohibition in effect at all times on the north side of Kempford Boulevard, between Yonge Street and a point 85.4 metres west.

2.  Authorized parking for a maximum period of 15 minutes from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, on the north side of Kempford Boulevard, between Yonge Street and a point 75 metres west.

3.  Prohibited parking from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. of one day to 8:30 a.m. of the next following day, Monday to Friday and at all times Saturday and Sunday, on the north side of Kempford Boulevard, between Yonge Street and a point 75 metres west.

4.  Prohibited stopping at all times on the north side of Kempford Boulevard, between a point 75 metres west of Yonge Street and a point 29 metres west.

5.  Rescinded the existing parking prohibition in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, on the south side of Lorraine Drive, between Beecroft Road a point 42.5 metres east.

6.  Authorized parking for a maximum period of 15 minutes from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, on the south side of Lorraine Drive, between Beecroft Road a point 42.5 metres east.

This staff report is about a matter for which Community Council has delegated authority to make a final decision.

Transportation Services is recommending that North York Community Council amend the existing parking regulations on Kempford Boulevard and Lorraine Drive to provide short-term parking areas for student pick-up and drop-off activities in the vicinity of St. Cyril Catholic Elementary School located at No. 18 Kempford Boulevard. A stopping prohibition on Kempford Boulevard in the vicinity of the school is also recommended.

The proposed short-term parking areas will assist student pick-up/drop-off activity and will not adversely impact traffic operations on Kempford Boulevard or Lorraine Drive. The proposed stopping prohibition on Kempford Boulevard will address concerns with stopped/parked vehicles blocking the driveways in the vicinity of the school.
