Origin
Summary
The Eglinton Crosstown LRT is scheduled to be completed in 2022. One of the stops is located at Wynford Drive. The stop is on a bridge, with Wynford Drive passing underneath. Almost all of the thousands of residents in this community will have to climb a set of stairs to access the station – this is currently the only public access from Wynford. This will create significant challenges to all, but especially to those with mobility issues.
Residents have suggested a number of options, including constructing an elevator that would allow residents to access the LRT. There are currently limited pedestrian options which would include enhancing and/or building a sidewalk to provide better and safer access to the LRT station.
