Community Council Decision

Etobicoke York Community Council:

 

1. Amended the existing school bus loading zone in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., on the west side of Kane Avenue, between a point 52 metres north of Trowell Avenue and a point 27 metres further north, to be in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., between a point 34 metres north of Trowell Avenue and a point 30 metres further north.

 

2. Prohibited stopping from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., on the west side of Kane Avenue, between Trowell Avenue and Ewart Avenue.

Summary

This staff report is about a matter that Community Council has delegated authority from City Council to make a final decision.

 

The purpose of this report is to recommend relocation of the existing school bus loading zone and an amendment to a related stopping prohibition on the west side of Kane Avenue, between Trowell Avenue and Ewart Avenue. The proposed amendments will address concerns regarding congestion in the subject area and difficulties for school buses using the school bus loading zone in front of Silverthorn Community School.
