Community Council Decision

Etobicoke York Community Council:

1. Directed the General Manager, Transportation Service, in consultation with the Executive Director, Engineering and Construction Services, to report to the Etobicoke York Community Council by April 7, 2020 with details on the upcoming planned road resurfacing project proposed for Rathburn Road, between Martin Grove Road and The East Mall, including such details as construction staging and timing, hours of work, signage and diversions, and any planned alterations to lanes, pavement markings, cycling infrastructure and other fixtures or design features.

Summary

Recently I have learned that a large segment of Rathburn Road, between Martin Grove Road and The East Mall is scheduled for resurfacing. Given the importance of this Minor Arterial, the few alternate routes which may prompt traffic infiltration, and the presence of cycling infrastructure, I am requesting that Transportation Services and Engineering and Construction Services bring forward a report to Community Council to provide additional details.
