The Board of Governors of Exhibition Place:

1.  Approved an extension of the remaining strategic goals and objectives from the 2017 - 2019 Strategic Plan, contained in Appendix B to the report (June 10, 2020) from the Chief Executive Officer, Exhibition Place, to December 2021.

This report sets out a summary of key results and achievements accomplished by Exhibition Place staff in the implementation of the strategic goals and objectives contained in the 2017 – 2019 Strategic Plan.

The devastating effects of the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting economic decline has had an unprecedented impact to the hospitality industry.  Exhibition Place has seen the majority of our Q2 and Q3 business cancelled since the Emergency Order by the Province in mid March. Further, with the absence of a clear announcement from the Province regarding the revitalization of Ontario Place, the imminent completion of the Exhibition Place Master Plan framework, and the fact much work remains to be completed within the current strategic plan, this report recommends the 2017 – 2019 Strategic Plan be extended to December 2021.
