Summary

Early this Summer, residents of Gilead Place were shaken when a large delivery truck hit a hydro pole along their street and steps from their door. Residents have noticed the increased traffic along their streets as vehicles speed through this narrow street. In 2017, residents brought forth a petition asking that speed mitigation measures be assessed to enhance safety in their community.

Through Vision Zero, Toronto is committed to achieving pedestrian and road safety.  In order to achieve a safe, walkable city, and protect vulnerable road users, Gilead Place and other local roads flagged by residents need to be reviewed and improved.
