Origin

(April 26, 2019) Report from the Acting Director, Traffic Management, Transportation Services

Summary

This staff report is about a matter that Community Council has delegated authority to make a final decision, provided that it is not amended so that it varies with City Policy or by-laws.

Transportation Services is requesting approval to prohibit standing at all times on the west side of Pirandello Street, near the access to the fire route for Liberty Village Town Homes (TSCC 1660, 1673, 1705, 1746).  This is in response to complaints about vehicles blocking the fire route access on the west side of Pirandello Street.  This proposal would not result in the loss of any parking spaces.

This report will address the fire route access for Liberty Village Town Homes on Pirandello Street.  The fire route access and underground parking access for Liberty Village Town Homes on the north side of East Liberty will be addressed in a separate report to Toronto and East York Community Council, entitled "Parking Amendments – East Liberty Street".
