Community Council Decision
The Toronto and East York Community Council requested:
1. Transportation Services to report to the September 16, 2019 meeting of the Toronto and East York Community Council with the results of the intersection safety and signal timing/phase review at Pape Avenue and Danforth Avenue, and Pape Avenue and Lipton Avenue.
Origin
Summary
The intersection of Pape and Danforth is a busy intersection used by pedestrians, cyclists, cars and TTC busses daily.
Immediately north of the intersection is Pape Subway Station, which recently had a traffic light installed. Residents have expressed concerns about the safety of these two intersections, and in particular the way the two traffic lights operate together. Transportation Services is undertaking a review of the two intersections. I am asking that the review be brought to Community Council to ensure that the community has the opportunity to give feedback.
