Summary

This staff report is about a matter that Community Council has delegated authority to make a final decision, provided that it is not amended so that it varies with City Policy or by-laws.

Transportation Services is requesting approval to reduce the speed limit from 40 km/h to 30 km/h on Glenlake Avenue, between Glendonwynne Avenue and Oakmount Road. The results of the assessment based on the City's 30 km/h speed limit warrant policy and the existing 30 km/h speed limit on a segment of Glenlake Avenue, the speed limit on this segment of Glenlake Avenue is supported to be 30 km/h. This proposal will increase the safety of all road users and maintain consistency of the speed limit.
