The Toronto and East York Community Council:

1. Rescinded the existing parking prohibition in effect at all times on the north side of Lonsdale Road, between Russell Hill Road and a point 60 metres west.

2. Amended the existing parking prohibition in effect from 6:30 p.m. of one day to 7:30 a.m. of the following day, Monday to Friday and at all times, Saturday and Sunday, on the north side of Lonsdale Road, between a point 60 metres west of Russell Hill Road and a point 25 metres further west, to be in effect between a point 15 metres west of Russell Hill Road and a point 70 metres further west.

3. Amended the existing maximum 10-minute parking regulation in effect from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, on the north side of Lonsdale Road, between a point 60 metres west of Russell Hill Road and a point 25 metres further west, to be in effect between a point 15 metres west of Russell Hill Road and a point 70 metres further west.

This staff report is about a matter that Community Council has delegated authority to make a final decision, provided that it is not amended so that it varies with City Policy or by-laws.

Transportation Services is requesting approval to extend the existing pick-up/drop-off area on the north side of Lonsdale Road in order to provide additional short-term parking opportunities for parents/guardians to escort their children to and from the Grace Church Daycare (No. 300 Lonsdale Road).  This proposal will not adversely impact traffic or parking operations on Lonsdale Road and it will add approximately eight additional parking spaces to the existing pick-up/drop-off area.
