The Toronto and East York Community Council:

1. Approved the closure of the east sidewalk on Maud Street, between Richmond Street West and Adelaide Street West, from

May 1, 2019 to December 31, 2020.

2. Rescinded the existing standing prohibition in effect at all times on both sides of Maud Street, between a point 16 metres south of Richmond Street West and a point 60 metres further south.

3. Rescinded the existing parking prohibition in effect at all times on both sides of Maud Street, between Richmond Street West and Adelaide Street West.

4. Prohibited "Stopping" at all times on both the both sides of Maud Street, from Richmond Street West to Adelaide Street West.

5. Directed the applicant to post a 24-hour monitored construction hotline number on the hoarding board, which must be prominently placed and legible from 20 metres and on all elevations from the construction site.

6. Directed the applicant to provide and install public art, including mural artwork, onto every elevation of the hoarding board with adequate spotlighting for night-time illumination, at their sole cost, to the satisfaction of the Ward Councillor.

7. Directed Maud Street be returned to its pre-construction conditions when the project is completed.

This staff report is about a matter that Community Council has delegated authority to make a final decision, provided that it is not amended so that it varies with City policy or by-laws.

A 13-storey condominium is being constructed by MOD Developments at 497-511 Richmond Street West located in the south-east quadrant of Richmond Street West and Maud Street.

Transportation Services is requesting approval to close the east sidewalk on Maud Street adjacent to this site to facilitate construction operations for a period of 21 months. Pedestrians will be directed to use the west sidewalk on Maud Street.
