The Toronto and East York Community Council:

1. Rescinded the existing parking prohibition in effect from the 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, 16th day to the last day of each month, from April 1 to November 30, inclusive, and from December 1 of one year to March 31 of the next following year, inclusive, on the north side of Melita Avenue, between Christie Street and the east end of Melita Avenue.

2. Rescinded the existing parking prohibition in effect from the 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, 1st day to the 15th day of each month, from April 1 to November 30, inclusive, on the south side of Melita Avenue, between Christie Street and the east end of Melita Avenue.

3. Rescined the existing permit parking regulation in effect from 12:01 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., from 1st day to the 15th day of each month from April 1 to November 30, inclusive, on the north side of Melita Avenue, between Christie Street and the east end of Melita Avenue.

4.  Rescinded the existing permit parking regulation in effect from 12:01 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., from December 1 of one year to March 31 of the next following year, inclusive, and from the 16th day to the last day of each month, from April 1 to November 30, inclusive, on the south side of Melita Avenue, between Christie Street and the east end of Melita Avenue.

5. Authorized permit parking from 12:01 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., on both sides of Melita Avenue, between Christie Street and the east end of Melita Avenue.

This staff report is about a matter that Community Council has delegated authority to make a final decision, provided that it is not amended so that it varies with City Policy or by-laws.

Transportation Services is requesting approval to rescind the alternate-side parking regulations on Melita Avenue, between Christie Street and the east end of Melita Avenue.  Parking will be provided on the both sides of the street year round and will provide additional on-street parking spaces.
