Summary

St. Stephen's Community House recently opened a childcare centre at the Lord Lansdowne/da Vinci public school.  The childcare centre provides before and after care for children in kindergarten and grades 1 to 6 from Lord Lansdowne, and the da Vinci school. The childcare centre operates between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.  However, school staff have advised that parents using the 10-minute pick-up and drop-off area on Spadina Crescent are receiving parking tickets.

In order to prevent any further infractions to these motorists and better reflect the childcare operating times, Transportation Services is recommending that the existing maximum 10-minute parking limit on Spadina Crescent in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, be amended to be in effect from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
