Community Council Decision

The Toronto and East York Community Council:

 

1. Staff schedule a community consultation meeting for the lands pertaining to 156-160 John Street, which includes the provision of light refreshments and, when required, childcare and accessibility resources including sign language interpretation at the sole cost of the applicant, together with the Ward Councillor. 

 

2. Notice for the community consultation meeting be given to landowners and residents within 120 metres of the site, and to additional residents, institutions and owners to be determined in consultation with the Ward Councillor, with any additional mailing costs to be borne by the applicant.

Summary

This report provides information and identifies a preliminary set of issues regarding the Zoning By-law Amendment application located at 156-160 John Street. Staff are currently reviewing the application. It has been circulated to all appropriate agencies and City divisions for comment. A community consultation meeting for the application was held with the Ward Councillor on January 14, 2019.

1 - Motion to Amend Item (Additional) moved by Councillor Joe Cressy (Carried)

That the Toronto and East York Community Council adopt the recommendations in the report (January 23, 2019) from the Director, Community Planning, Toronto and East York District, amended by replacing Recommendations 1 and 2, as follows:

 

"1. Staff schedule a community consultation meeting for the lands pertaining to 156-160 John Street, which includes the provision of light refreshments and, when required, childcare and accessibility resources including sign language interpretation at the sole cost of the applicant, together with the Ward Councillor.

 

2. Notice for the community consultation meeting be given to landowners and residents within 120 metres of the site, and to additional residents, institutions and owners to be determined in consultation with the Ward Councillor, with any additional mailing costs to be borne by the applicant."
