Community Council Decision

The Toronto and East York Community Council:

 

1. Prohibited parking at all times on the west and north side of Queens Wharf Road, between Housey Street and Dan Leckie Way.

 

2. Authorized the installation of "Pay-and-Display" parking machines to operate from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday and 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Sunday for a maximum period of three hours, at the rate of $3.00 per hour, on the east and south side of Queens Wharf Road, between Housey Street and Dan Leckie Way.

Summary

Queens Wharf Road is a new road in the CityPlace neighbourhood that has recently been dedicated to the City. As a new roadway, there are no existing parking regulations in place. Transportation Services has recommended initial parking regulations to implement, which in consultation with the community might be adjusted in the future to account for how well the street is working.
